Missing Vowels Trainer

This is a trainer for the 'Missing Vowels' round on Only Connect, originally put together by Tom Scott for Series 3's Hitchhikers. It's a bit shonky, but better released to the public than never being used again.
Press Space or click the screen to begin. After a brief pause, a category will flash on screen, followed by four MSSNG VWLS clues from that category.
Press Space or click the screen to buzz. After you buzz (or after five seconds have elapsed), the screen will go blank for a second to let you say your answer out loud. The correct answer will then appear.
Clues are automated - they're pulled from Simple English Wikipedia. Therefore some of them will be incredibly obscure. Power through them - it's good practice in trying to decipher the letter combinations.
Advice for anyone actually going on the show: the audience at home see the clues about a second and a half before the contestants. On easy clues, you should be reacting almost immediately in order to have a chance. Good luck. Oh, and if this does help you, drop me an email — I'd love to know!
